Cam replacement

Quick Learner from Horseheads, NY

I have a couple of windows where the cam has been worn or damaged and no longer rotates when the pivot pin is placed in the cam and turned. First question can the cams be replaced and if so how do you get them out? replacement cams available?

If the cam is not available, do you have an assembly as shown in the attached photo? This includes the upper and lower units and I'm not sure of the correct terminology.

Windows are alside Centurian.

Photo attached.

Our 15-177 pivot shoe looks like it may be what you need. You will need to remove your pivot shoe from the window track to make sure the measurements match up with each other. These shoes are used with the Series 152 coil spring. I placed some media guides on this page of different methods of removing the pivot shoe.

The coil balances in my Alside windows have 5K stamped on them. What does that mean?

I?m using your 15-177 pivot shoes. Would coil S152-5 be the correct replacement coil?

Welcome back to SWISCO. The S152-5 coil spring would definitely be the correct coil replacement.
