Can this be fixed

The windows are M and W. The part looks like a big spring with strings attached to the top. The windows wont stay up. Can you help.

Hello,

Your original crossbow style balance is no longer available but as long as yours has a 1/2" diameter spring, you can follow the video below to convert to the S795 channel balances. Thanks for posting!

So I took it out. There was not a screw at the top. The string was tied on a little hook. You think I can still screw the 795 in. It messers 17 inches from bottom of black t to top of white plastic part.

It looks like you are showing where the pulley connects to the spring. We would need to see how the pulley connects to the window jamb to determine which version of the S795 could work for your repair.

The one pic shows with the cord attached the other without plastic piece. The window is 59.5 inches. Thank you for your help.

Your balance appears to use the discontinued P-clip shown at time stamp 1:13 in our conversion video, which will require the 26-200 screw plug to attach the clip that comes with the S795 balance.
