Can you use the same take out clips for multiple windows?

Question

I have read posts regarding these clips.  After they are installed, and used to remove and replace the old channel balances, can they be easily removed?  I need channel balances for about a dozen windows, none of which has the clips.  I'd rather purchase 2 or 4 clips and move them from window to window to make the repairs to the channel balances, not leaving them in the windows afterwards.  Is this possible?

Unfortunately, no. The 16-002 take out clip was not designed by the manufacturer to be replaced, so in order to remove one it must be damaged.

You may want to consider temporarily installing a screw in your jamb. A screw that is sticking out slightly can actually perform the same job. The only problem is that it doesn't look very good.
