Canadian #919213 1973 Handle

Question

Sorry, it is 5 inches between the screws holes. The patent for the Canadian # 919213 says 1973. The part I ordered is # 82-020. The screws are to short and smaller diameter, as ours are 2 3/4.
We purchased the door in 1983. The patent number for US is 3596954.
Can you advise and also email me a return label for the one we received in order to send back.

Thanks for posting. It looks like you have a surface-mount lock, which has its own internal mortise lock instead of interacting with one installed in the door, like how our 82-020 works. I recommend our 82-005, I think you'll find this is a better match.
