Cannot get the door back in

Quick Learner from 01452
I purchased replacement rollers from Amazon which appear to be an exact fit. They fit just like the original rollers in the door bottom but I cannot get the door over the jam and on the track. With the wheels turned all the way in, I tried lifting with a small crow bar and cannot get it over the floor jam. There is about a 1/4" to clear.

The original roller is on the bottom in the photos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello,

Your Truth roller with the "extended mounting tabs" is no longer available. Take a look at the 81-018 below. With the roller retracted into the housing, the measurement from the top of the housing to the bottom of the wheels is 1-1/2".

I also considered the 81-128 roller used on wooden Anderson patio doors. With the wheel retracted the measurement was 1-3/8" from the top of the housing to the bottom of the wheels. If your door is made of wood, you might be able to use this. Another idea would be to cut away some of the wood where the mounting tabs mount at the bottom of the door to help raise the housing.

Lastly, take a look at the (1-1/4") 81-266 and the (1-1/8") 81-223 wheels. If your housing is in good working order, you might be able to replace the wheels and reuse the existing housing. Review the suggested parts and related videos to determine the best replacement option.
