Can't remove my sash

Quick Learner from california
I watched your video about changing takeout clips (video link on the 16-002).
Unfortunately, my lower sash does not have enough room to be removed from the frame. It does not have the clips you

Thanks for contacting us. It appears you have an old kind of window whose sash was not actually designed to be removed. You mention you have a 16-002. This is usually used in channel balance systems, but your kind of window often uses spiral balance systems. Can you confirm what you have? If you were to show us a picture of the balance in the side track we can confirm for you, and from there work out a solution. Thanks!

It is a spiral system. Since the spring won't stay in the clip I'm thinking of bending them closer together.

Aha, I see. I suspected as much. No, the 16-002 does not come on this window. You should have another clip entirely on the window, something like our 17-012. Am I correct? You should be able to pinch them together like you mentioned, yes, but that's only assuming that they're the problem. It may be best of we see a couple pictures of it so that we can suggest a better solution.

Beat ya too it. Bending the clips together worked. Thank you for all your help.
Take care
