Caradco Double Hung Window Replacement Parts

A quick learner from Mundelein IL says:
Hello,

I have CARADCO 716 windows - home built in early 1990's
A few windows, when opening them, do not stay "in place", they slide down unwanted.

I'm ordering CARADCO FRICTION SHOE Product Code: 15-104.

I'd also like to get the spring balance. The spring has yellow tip and is 11 1/4" long, about 3/8" width. Do you carry this?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Unfortunately, we are not able to replace this kind of spring. The issue is that it's built into the jamb liner, which itself is made for that specific window. They are very, very difficult for us to supply due to their specificity. Your best bet is to contact the original suppliers of the window; if this is a wood window, you could contact a local mill work.

I'm sorry that we cannot be of more help.
