Caradco Window Cranks 39-155 & 39-156

Quick Learner from Boiling Springs, PA
I have 3 Caradco windows that I need to buy replacement cranks for. I believe what I need are (2) 39-155's & (1) 39-156. My current cranks are stamped 20755 on the 3 13/16 arms. The short arms are all 3 13/16's long. I believe that the longer arms are all 10 1/2 long although they are hard to measure in the window. If the short arm is 3 13/16 are these the correct part numbers that I need or are there different options for the length of the Long arm? How do I remove the screws on my existing cranks & install on my new cranks? It appears there is very little clearance between the head of the screw & the strip of wood above it. I know a normal screw driver will not work. Also, how does the end of the short arm connect to the existing frame? this by screw?

Yes, the 39-155 and 39-156 Window Cranks are the correct operators for Caradco Windows, and they do have the #20755 stamped on the short arm.

As for installation, you will have to remove the bottom sill cover on the lower main frame of the window to get to the installation screws of the original operator. Be careful you don't crack it it is usually held in with small trim nails. The short arm on the operator has a terminal clip that holds it to the sash bracket, which should slide back to allow you to take it off the sash bracket stud.
