Casement Operator

I will appreciate your help in identifying the operator for a casement window I have. I ordered two folding crank handles item # 39-205 which arrived today, and they are an exact match. But as I feared, turns out that the operator is also broken. I have taken 8 pictures of the operator mechanism for your viewing. The kitchen casement window is roughly 28" wide x ~ 44" tall.

Your operator has been discontinued for a few years and is no longer made, but the good news is that we do have a working solution. I recommend watching the video below, which will take you through our process step-by-step.

Hi Tom, and thanks for that. Question - the 39-205 handles you shipped to me over the holiday weekend were a perfect replacement but it appears that you're advocating the 39-114 crank handle for this operator replacement. Is that because the new operator is compatible with the 39-114 crank handle? And if you ship me all the stuff needed to do the left and right windows which includes the new (39-114) crank handles, can I return the 39-205 handles?

And if so, can I just ask you to send all the parts needed for this replacement, and if so, what is the estimated cost of all? Thanks! (Gene)

Hello! There's no need to buy new handles. The 39-114 and 39-205 are totally interchangeable; in fact, the 39-205 is designed to be a folding version of the 39-114. They otherwise do the same job.

Thanks again Tom, that's good news. I was a late caller the Friday afternoon before the holiday weekend and you were the person who took care of me (unless there's another Tom there), so I wanted to thank you for that.
I do want the two operators but I would appreciate knowing the price first and then I can confirm the ship request. Thanks again for your help!

Sure, as per the video the products used are the 39-316 operator, 39-514 stud bracket, and 39-105 detach clip. You can see a detailed pricing break down on each product's respective store page.
