Casement Operator Help

Home Owner from South Dakota
Howdy,

After searching the internet, I still cannot determine the manufacturer for one of our
casement window operators.
The gears are about to be completely stripped and with winter coming on, that is not a
good thing... especially here in South Dakota.

Can you possibly identify this operator for me so I can order a new replacement?

This operator is very possibly from the 1950's or 1960's.

Thank you,

JW

Hello, thank you for posting!

To move forward, we will need to see the crank operator removed from the window frame. Seeing the operator removed will help us see important details that are currently obscured.

Howdy,

Thank you for your kind reply.

First, I cannot figure out how to access the gears of this operator without
damaging the window frame. Oh, I can do it but it won't be pretty nor will I
be able to repair it and make it weather tight again.

Next, with winter rapidly approaching here in Western South Dakota in the Black
Hills area, I am also inclined to just nail the window shut until spring.

If there is a sure fire easy way to access the gears please let me know or if
I can take any other photos short of breaking this frame.

Thank you.

JW

Hello!

Instead of removing the frame, it will be best to open the window and remove the screen. Then take an overhead photo so we can see the arm attachment(s) coming out of the operator base. If possible, we would also like to see the arm removed from the track so we can see the roller/attachment on the arm. From first glance, you may have our 39-027E or 39-028E, but we cannot confirm without seeing the arm attachment. Thank you! for your help!
