Casement window operator replacement

Question

Hello, I'm looking for a replacement operator for a casement window original to my house. I've ordered from Swisco before for another window in my house that opened from the bottom, but this one is different in that it opens from the side (though operator is still at bottom). There are no discernible markings/numbers on the operator.

I saw a few items on your site that could be a match, but want to make sure I get it right. Thanks!

Hi, Steve. I believe you have a match for our 39-253LB operator. Ours is the newer Encore style that Truth makes, which means you'll also need the 39-451 handle/cover combo that is sold separately.

One thing to note is that the 39-253LB has a peg on the end of the arm that plugs into a square black guide in the window track. There is another version, the 39-438B, which has a small rectangular guide riveted to the end of the arm itself.

I know it seems like a small distinction, but it is important. I can't see the end of your arm in your photos so you should check that detail before you purchase anything. All you need to do is see if the guide is a square or rectangle.
