Channel Balance 34DS5 39 - 41lb Sash

Question

Please advise which channel balance would be appropriate as a replacement for one that measures 34.5" for a window sash that weighs 41 lbs. The stamp reads 34DS5 39.

Thanks for reaching out! Your channel balances could be either the S380-35 with a 1" shoe or the S385-35 with a 1-3/32" shoe. The metal channel of these balances is 35". You'll want to double check the length of the metal channel on your balances before making your purchase. If they are truly 35-1/2", this will need to be a custom assembly.

To determine which series is needed for your window, look over the dimensions from the diagram below to confirm the depth of your bottom shoe. Let me know if it does not match either measurement.

You'll need to select the 3465 stamp which can support a sash weighing between 39 to 42lbs.
