Channel Balance

A quick learner from Florida says:

I need to replace two non-tilt channel balances.

Here are the specifics I have:

- Stamp: 28C

- Channel length (channel only): 29"

- Channel depth: 1/2"

- Channel width: 1/2" (measures 9/16 actual)

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement, less than 1"? If it's 1" exactly, see our S380-29. Use a stamp option of 2830. Let me know if the depth indeed differs.

A quick learner from Florida says:
Hi Bob,

Thank you for the quick response. I've attached 2 additional photos with measurements of the shoe. I started at the 2" mark on the tape measure to avoid an error due to the play in the hook end of the tape measure.

Thank you, Rich

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for getting back to me. To my eye this shoe looks to be 7/8" deep, but since photos can be deceiving I'd double-check just to be absolutely sure. In that case, you'll need a pair of 29" custom balances, stamped 2830, with the 19-005 top and 15-029 Bottom that is 7/8" deep attached. I just emailed you a custom link to order that pair. Let me know if you have any other questions.

A quick learner from Florida says:
You're exactly correct, it's 7/8" deep. I've ordered the two balances from the custom link you sent. Thank you so much, I never would have figured out the combination on my own.

Cheers, Rich
