Window balance for a 1989 Florida house

Handy Person from Naples, FL
I need to replace a couple of these channel balances. They came out of a house that was built in 1989 in southwest Florida. The only number I can find on the hardware reads "34 2D". These came off of Harcar brand windows. Let me know if you need any additional information to identify these. Thanks. Zak

Hey, Zak. I think we can help, but we will need to see an undamaged balance. These can only be identified based on the nylon caps on either end, but yours appear to be damaged or missing. Do you have a whole balance that we can see?

Thanks for the new pictures! I think this could be either our S385-35 or S380-35, depending on the depth of the shoe; that is, the heel-to-toe measurement. You may also want to weigh your sash on a scale to confirm the best option. It may be 3420, but I'm not sure if that "D" has a greater significance. We have a chart for each balance showing how much weight each option can support, so getting the weight your sash would confirm beyond any doubt what would work best.

This channel balance is from the same type of window with different dimensions. Can you recommend a model number? The last recommendation was spot on by the way (S380-35). I am also looking for a sash guide that will work with these channel balances.

It's tough to make out the nylon ends of this balance from your pictures. You would need to do the same as before and carefully compare the nylon ends to those various Series we carry on our site. I can say that it will be a 24" long balance with a 2330 option.
