Channel Balance Help
I have couple of balances marked as:
1) 25 4 HP Caldwell
2) 25 4 IN Caldwell
Can you please tell me what the differences are between the two and which replacement balances I need to order. Thank you for your assistance.
Houman
Hey Houman. Those extra letters at the end aren't really relevant; the 25-4 is what matters. However, this only tells us the strength of the spring calibrated inside the balance. It doesn't really tell us the type of balance you need. To know what kind of balance you need, we need to see pictures of the nylon fittings on either end of the metal channel. From there, we'll see what we can do to help. Thanks.
Hi Bob,
Here are some pictures. Please let me know what we need to order and if they would both be the same or different. Appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Houman
Hi Houman. Confirm that the metal channel, not including the nylon fittings at either end, is 26" in length. If so, see either our S380-26 or S385-26. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. You will need a stamp option of 2540.
