I have some window channels I want to replace. They are 29 inches long of just the metal. It has a marking that is printed 28G. One of the pulleys is marked 265-1. I am wanting to replace 4 of these.

Thanks for posting. This looks like either an S380-29 or S385-29. The only difference between these two balances is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe, or what we call the 'heel-to-toe' measurement, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best.

You'll then have to choose a stamp option. Your old stamp of 28G could conform to either our stamp option of 2865, which is for a window in the weight range of 35 through 39 lbs; or possibly our stamp option of 2870, which is for a window sash in the weight range of 39 through 42 lbs. The best thing to do would be to obtain the exact weight of your window sash. You can then see which stamp option would be the correct choice.
