Channel Balance Identification
I need some help identifying which channel balance to order. I know the channel is 1/2 inch, but the end pieces are tricky to match up. Please see included photos. The metal part is 26 & 3/4 inch long.
Thanks so much!
Cory
We can replace these balances, but they will have to be a special order. Thanks to your helpful pictures, we have everything we need to get started. Can you just tell me how many of each stamp you need? Thank you!
I need two of the 26.5 and two of the 26.4 (I lost the other 26.4). I also need 4 take out clips. I just noticed that they look different than the ones that are available on the website. Do these need to be special ordered too? I attached a photo...
Thanks so much!

Thank you! I'll email you an order link and price quote for both right now.
Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I was so preoccupied with the custom balance order that I forgot to cover that part.
The take out clips are sold separately, yes. I recommend our 16-002. You can add these to your cart along with the balances and then checkout with everything at once.
Can I order the take out clips listed on the website, or do those need to be special ordered too? I'm assuming I should order everything all at once...

It seems like I will have to put A LOT of pressure to push the balance down once it's clipped in, does that sound correct?
Thanks!
Cory
So, consider the "V" clip as having wings. I sometimes refer to it as a butterfly clip because of this. You only put one wing in the hole. Is that what you meant? If that's what you're doing, then it should be fine.
Forcing the balance down by hand can be difficult, since the springs are under tension. Once they're installed and the sash is in place, though, you shouldn't have to struggle to close the window. Let me know if that's the case and we can work from there.
Thanks so much! They are working great.
Awesome, glad to hear it! Thanks once again for buying with us and please let me know if you ever need anything else.
