I need to replace my channel balance. From using your website, it looks like I am going with the Series 380 Channel Balances. However, I want to run my code by you to see if there is anything special. The code stamped on the old balance is
"25 4 ET CMC 4" No letters have faded, and that is the exact spacing. The length of the balance is 26" and it is supporting a 30lb window. Does the code tell you anything?

In reviewing your site, if the S380-26 is the correct balance, and considering my window is 30 lbs., is the 2540 option underweighted? Should I get the 2550 or 2560?

Hello! If your sash is 30 pounds then 2540 is definitely too light. Assuming it's precisely 30 pounds, without going over that line then you should be okay with the 2560 option. Any heavier and you'd want the 2565 option instead.
