Channel Balance Question

Home Owner from Missouri
I think the part I need is S351-37.  I've attached photos just to make sure the ends are correct.  My balance has 3630 stamped on it.  Since you are out of stock for that weight, can I go up to the 3640 and be safe?

Thanks for posting. I agree the S351-27 seems promising; the only other possibility would be the S390-27. It depends on the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or its 'heel-to-toe' measurement. See the diagram below for reference. Measure your old balance's shoe to see what matches best.

In general, one should always stick to the original stamp rating. A stamp of 3630 indicates a balance meant for a window sash that falls in the weight range of 18 through 23 pounds. A stamp of 3640 indicates a balance that can support a sash in the weight range of 23 through 30 pounds. Unless your window sash happens to be right at 23 pounds, I am afraid the 3640 stamp will be too strong and the balance will not work properly. If you signed up for auto-notification, we will let you know as soon as possible when the balances you need are available. Many thanks.
