Channel Balance Replacement

Home Owner from Delray Beach, FL
I am replacing channel balances for an aluminum window. The existing balances are 29" and stamped 28D. Your S350-29 seems to match but not sure which option to specify.

Not a problem. If your stamping/marking happens to not match any of our options, the only other way to determine the most appropriate option would be to remove your sash and weigh it on a scale. From there, correspond the weight number of the sash to our sash weight range chart listed on the respective product page to see which option would work best for your balance.

If you would like for us to take a look at your balance and offer our recommendations, you're more than welcome to send us photos of the balance removed from the window. We'd be glad to help.

Here are photos showing 1 of the channel balancers removed. Also, the sash weighs about 25 lbs. Please confirm the S250-29 is the correct part. Thanks.

This isn't a Series 350 balance. It's got to be Series 380 or Series 385 , and you can measure your bottom shoe as shown below to pick which one. The Series 380 uses the 1" shoe, and the Series 385 uses the 1-3/32" shoe. Specifically, you have S380-29 or S385-29. Pick "2840" as a weight option to match your 28D (D is the 4th letter of the alphabet...). 2840 holds 23 to 28 pounds of sash weight, so this is just right for a 25 pound sash.
