Channel Balance for Milgard Fiberglass

Based on the excellent information from your website, I believe I need to order the S385 channel balance. My only problem is that the length of the metal channel that I'm replacing is 27 1/2". So, do I order the S385-27 or the S385-28? I'm adding three photos that might help clarify. Thanks for your help.

Our Series 385 will not replace this balance. You have a special part that will have to be custom made. Before we can help, though, can you show me a clearer picture of the metal clip at the end of the pulley cord? Can you also tell me how many balances you will need?

We are doing some repair work on about 25 windows that are scheduled to be replaced in about six months. The owner of the building just wants the windows to be operable for the summer. We can not justify having custom balances made for a temporary situation. That being said, we are going to order 50 balances and some take out clips. I'm thinking of just going with the 27" because time is of the essence. Also, I've attached a picture of the metal clip. Thanks.

I'm afraid none of our standard balances will work. You have a very specific kind of balance that can really only be replaced by something identical, and that means it has to be custom made, which takes a few weeks. I don't believe you can use anything in our catalog as a substitute. If you are interested in ordering the custom balances, let me know. Otherwise I do not think we can help.
