Channel Balance repair

Handy Person from 32953
The Channel Balance is stuck in the up position. Nuair window, installed 2007

The window dimensions are top to bottom 70inches from side to side 35inches.

The third image is from a functioning channel balance but different window size, I included because the needed part would probably be similar but increased length. I don't want to damage trying to get to the broken part at the moment.

Hello,

We can supply your replacement balances but it will need to be a custom order due to the 86 stamp on your balance. We'll need to see the end fittings of your balance fully uninstalled, as well as confirm the number of balances that you need, with the minimum being two.

If the balance will not stay in place below the sash, you most likely need new top sash guides but we would need to see photos and dimensions of an undamaged part as well to compare to our inventory. Thank you!

Thank you!

With this combination of attachments, you could have either an S380-35 or S385-35 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. You'll also need 3440 spring strength options for your replacement balances.

We would still need to see photos of an undamaged top sash guide uninstalled to research your replacement options for that part as well.
