Channel Balance replacement

A handy person from Mill Creek WA says:
Hi I need to replace the channel balance for 2 windows. Current balance shown in photos.
Width is 1/2"
Length is 27"

Window weight is 15.3 lb

I think the stamp says 28-2 GA2 CMC 19
But the 28 might be a 26

Is this the correct balance for the window weight?
Also the current window side-to-side motion seems a little sloppy.

Very nice website by the way. Whoever did this for you was worth the money.

Hi there!

Thank you for your kind words! We really appreciate them.

It's tough to say what you have when your balance is still installed since many important details can be obscured by the channel track. We'd be happy to help but we'll need you to remove an undamaged balance so that we can determine the style of the top and bottom fittings. Can you also confirm the length of your metal channel?

I will do my best to assist from there.

Thank you!

27" is length of metal part

Awesome, thanks so much! This looks like a match for our S350-27 channel balance. Look this over and let me know if you agree. If your stamp reads 26-2, you'll need the 2620 spring strength option but you can always weigh your sash and refer to the chart under the product description on the S350-27 store page to confirm the correct option for your balance.

A handy person from Mill Creek WA says:
Yes that looks right.
My sash weighs 15 lb so I think I want the 2630?

Emily from SWISCO responded:

Yes, you're correct! I'm sorry for missing that detail. If your sash weighs 15.3 pounds, you'd want the 2630 spring strength option for sashes weighing 13 to 19 pounds.
