Channel Balancer 26 4 GS Caldwell

Home Owner from California
Hi,

I need to replace the window balancer for my Milgard window. The broken part I have is stamped "26 4 GS Caldwell". Would you let me know what product I should buy?

Thank you.

I am sure we can help, but that stamp code only tells us the strength of the balance. To know its identity, please show us pictures of the nylon fittings on either end of the metal channel. We will do our best to help from there.

Hi. Thank you for your response. Attached are pictures of the balancer and the metal clip on the cord. I hope this provides the information you need. Regards.

One more thing. I measured the length of the balancer, metal part only. It is 27 inches. The part is stamped "26 4 GS Caldwell". I'm not sure if the 26 refers to the length. If it is, I'm assuming Caldwell measures the length differently than the instruction from your video. Please advice. Thank you.

This looks like an S350-27, where the bottom fitting has those side tabs (what we call wings) but the top fitting does not. Look over the specifications to confirm. The '26' in the stamp refers to the height of visible glass in the window; the actual channel is usually 1" more than this, hence why the balance is 27" long. For a new stamp option, choose 2640.
