Channel Balancers

Home Owner from Florida
One window has been difficult to open and close but the balancers look fine to me, no broken cords, etc. One balancer was disconnected and loose between the window track and frame. The numbers are 29-4 CA2 CMC 7.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm not sure why the balance might have come out, especially if nothing is damaged. Have you tried reinstalling it yet?

If you just wanted to pursue a new replacement, then I'd be happy to help you. However I need clearer photos of the balance itself. I specifically need to see the top end, bottom end, the hook at the end of the cord, and the stamp. Please let me know if that's possible.

Thanks, I'll attach as many pics as the site will allow. I've replaced balancers before but the cords were broken and the parts were damaged. These both look okay, just didn't help and one had fallen to the bottom of the window channel, and the channels are clean.

That is peculiar. I don't see any damage here, or any reason why these might have fallen out.

What I can tell you is that they appear to be a match for our Series 395. This comes with a 19-005 top and 15-001 bottom nylon fitting, which appear to match your original design quite well.

But there's no telling whether replacement is even necessary. You may just want to try reinstalling it to see if it still functions. Just make sure to monitor it closely in case it suffers the same failure.

Thanks Tom. The window is wide and jams easily with only one balancer working. I'll reinstall the balancer and see if it cures the problem. Approximately what would be the cost for two balancers if I decide to replace them? Thanks!

You can see a full price breakdown on the S395-30 store page. Shipping cost will depend entirely on what shipping method you choose during checkout, but this is calculated for you automatically during that process.
