Channel Balances & Sash Weights

Question

If my window is weighted at 20 lb. and the channel balance is 32" long and 1/2" wide and the top and shoe attachment looks just like the series 380; should I get a pair of 3110 (for ten lb each) or 3120 (for twenty lb total) to replace the two old balancers?

32" Series 380 Balance, for a 20 pound sash choose stamp option 3130, this will carry a window sash weight range of 16 through 23 pounds.

This information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
