The options listed starts at 1710 and my windows are 1700, can I use any of the options listed?

Casey from SWISCO responded:

The options you're referring to for balances only indicate the spring strength for a window sash and how much the spring can hold. If you're looking for help replacing a balance, we can help you. You would just need to show us some photos of the balance completely out of the window. We will also need to know the metal length measurement of the balance, along with any stamping or marking that may appear on the balance.

Thanks for your photos. Your balance looks close to both our S380-18 and S385-18. The only difference between these two balances is the depth measurement of the bottom balance shoe. The depth of the bottom shoe for the Series 380 is 1" and for the Series 385 is 1-3/32". You will need to measure the depth of your bottom shoe, like in the diagram below, to determine which of the two balances would make the better match. Whichever one chosen will use the 1710 option.
