Channel balance

Home Owner from Salt Lake City Utah
Need to find three window channel balances. Windows are 17.5" high and 22" wide the one channel balance I have has the numbers 1420 stamped on it with a small 6 number on the bottom plastic piece. I also need one metal clip that is installed on the window from above the channel

Thanks for posting. I'm confident we can help you replace these channel balances, but I am afraid we need more information to help. We need to see pictures of the attachments at either end of the metal channel; there's a ton of different combinations, and the identity of these attachments determines the kind, or Series, of balance you have. From there we'll do our best to narrow down what you might be working with. Also, if this is a non-tilt window I assume by metal clip you might mean a take-out clip like our 16-002; but if this isn't the case, please send a picture of this part also.

Thanks for these photos, they're a huge help. What you have here is a special "extended travel" channel balance, named for its particular block and tackle configuration. We can supply them but they have to be a custom order.

Thankfully, these pictures tell us everything we need to get started. The only thing I need from you now is quantity. Can you just tell me how many you wanted to buy? Once I know that, I can email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to add these to your cart.

Great, thanks. I'll send that email out now. Just note that we always recommend replacing these balances in pairs. If you mix old and new balances, you may subject the new replacement assembly to excess strain.

If you wanted to change your quantity, please let me know here and I'd be happy to do so. Otherwise you may use that custom order link to place an order on our site.

One last thing, before I forget: our balance will have a metal channel length of 14-7/8". This is the standard size for balances of this particular make and stamp, but I have seen other size variants in the past. These other variants are unfortunately not available to us. If your metal channel measures anything other than 14-7/8", then our product will not work for you.

I will then change the request from three to four and the length looks like it's the same as the old one I have. And I will still need a take out clip as well

You got it! I'll go ahead and change that quantity to 4, then email you a new link. You'll receive that momentarily.

As for the take out clip, right now my best guess is still the 16-002 that I mentioned, however that's not necessarily a guarantee. These balances have been known to work with all different kinds. Your first step before you buy anything should be to check to ensure your take out clip is the same design as our 16-002. If not, show me a photo and I'll see if we have something better.

This is not a custom part and so will not be included with the link I'm about to send you. This can just be added to your cart at your convenience. That way you can checkout with everything all at once.
