Channel balance

Question

Hello
I need channel balances for a vinyl single hung non tilting window. The marking is 27 4 BSI ND.
The metal part measures 1/2" (9/16" actual) wide by 28". The foot is 1 3/32" deep. I don't have access to a scale to weigh the sash but it is 32"w by 30"h and is a basic dual pane vinyl sash. I think I need 385-28 with option 2740.

Also, is there a repair kit for the nylon/plastic foot (shoe?). That seems to be the only thing broken- one of the tabs on the foot is broken off.

Hi there, it sounds like you've done all your homework! I would agree that you need the S385-28 with the 2740 stamp option.

Although it's typically more work, it is possible to repair your balance by installing a new 62-005 rivet with the 75-075 rivet tool. Here's a video if you want to familiarize yourself with the process. Let us know if it brings up any additional questions!
