Channel balance ID

Quick Learner from California

Hi,

Attached are pics of the channel balances for 2 windows at the front of my house.

The metal frame is 20" long and it's stamped "19 5 EP CALDWELL". Each window weighs 19 lbs.

I'll need 2 sets (4 total) to replace them in both of these windows. Please let me know if you have any questions or what to order.

Thanks,

Dave

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we'll need a bit more information to get started. Caldwell makes a version of these balances where the connecting point between the spring an pulley system differs from our stock balances. We can supply those balances as well but it would need to be a custom order. To determine if you need stock or custom balances, we would need to see the connecting point of the spring and pulley inside of an undamaged balance. Thank you!

OK - here are pics of the operational balance from the right side of the window.

Please let me know if you need additional info or what to order.

Thanks,

Thanks for getting back to us. The good news is that your balances have the same spring and pulley as our stock balances. With this combination of attachments, you could have either the S380-20 or S385-20 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.

You'll also need 1950 spring strength options for your replacement balances. Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
