Channel balance not moving

The channel balances in this window are sticking and hardly moving. The markings on them are 20 5. I've also included a picture of the sticker on the bottom of the sash.

I'm assuming I need 20" SERIES 795 CHANNEL BALANCE, option B. Are you able to confirm this is correct based on the pics?

I agree, our S795-20 looks like it's a good match. You may want to weigh your sash on a scale to confirm the best option, though. A stamp of "20 5" doesn't correspond with the 20B option.

I weighed the window on a scale and it came to 12 lbs. Would option A be correct? Assuming the 2 balances split the load.

You wouldn't split the load for this balance, our stamp ratings are based on 2 balances per sash. The A option can only carry 5 through 10 pounds, which would be too weak for a 12 pound sash. Looking at the next one up, B can carry a sash weight of 10 through 14 pounds. That would be the one I recommend.
