The metal part length is 21 inches not including the plastic. The plastic tip looked like it measures about  1 inch 1/16

You have either the S380-21 or the S385-21. To determine which of these is the correct series, measure the depth of the bottom shoe.

I believe you'll need the 2040 stamp option. A pair of these balances will support a sash weighing 15 to 23lbs.
