Channel balance replacement

Quick Learner from Atkinson NH

Hello,

I have patriot 2800 series windows. I've been told they were bought out by Plygem but are discontinued. The slot at the bottom of the channel pulls out - seems to be only a crimp fit. Bottom of the window has the metal pins to fit into that slot for tilting application. Your S795 series seems to com closest. Please let me know what you think - I've included pictures

Upon further review these plastic clip/slot piece are the problem. It has a hook that's supposed to hang on small bar in bottom of the channel and they have been breaking off. Is this piece what S775 calls the shoe? Would this model work better

Lmk thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out to us! The Series 775 Channel Balance has a wedged shoe, where as yours has the 15-195B 1-1/4" T-Lock Balance Shoe with an open cam. The shoes on these two balances are not interchangeable.

Since your balance has a grove in the bottom of the channel where the shoe inserts, our shoe will not be compatible with your balance. That said, you'll need to replace the entire assembly.

You'll need to confirm the length of the metal channel and the stamp from the balance to determine the exact Series 795 Channel Balance you need. Keep in mind, the 15-195B is sold separately but they are fairly easy to swap out.
