Channel balances

A quick learner from California says:

21", one set has rivet set 3/4" from the top. The second set has rivet set 1 1/4" from the top. These have markings (respectively) 21D and 21C and are from Pacesetter double hung windows with tilt out.

Thanks,

Pam

Hey, Pam. We may be able to help, but I'm not sure what kind of balance this is. There should be a clip or shoe at the end of the cord. Can you show me a picture of that? That will allow us to determine what you need.

A quick learner from California says:
No shoes or clips. They are held in the window by 2 screws.

Well I can see the cord at least, but that cord has to lead to somewhere. If you have an undamaged balance, I'd like you to follow that cord and show me what's at the end of it. I'm afraid I won't be able to identify what you have without that information.

Sorry. You are right. Here is picture

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Ah, perfect, thank you! We can specially make this balance for you. It'd be our S770-21, but with the bottom terminal clip swapped out for a 62-105 hook. Now, you need two strengths: 21C and 21D. Can you just tell me how many of each you need? Once I know that, I'll email you a special balance order link and price quote for each.

A quick learner from CA says:
I need 2- 21D and 4- 21C.

Great! Thank you so much. I'll shoot those over now.

Thanks for the links, you have been really helpful.

Does Swisco also sell the 1/8" braided cord that links the spring, pulleys and hook?
I bought some braided poly cord that LOOKS similar, but it has really stretched out. It works, but not real well.

Anyway, thanks.

Tom from SWISCO responded:

I'm afraid we don't sell the balance cords by themselves. I don't think any companies do. It's not recommended to try to replace the cord in a balance by itself. If it has broken, we advise just replacing the whole balance.

A quick learner from CA says:
Again, thanks for the help. I ordered the balances and they should be here Thursday.
