Closet door pin

Handy Person from USA
The pin is approximately 4and a half inches long. It may or may not need replacement as the problem is that it does not engage the top track so there is a slight swing in and out when opening and closing the door. Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for writing in! It appears that your pin has become dislodged from the pin cap in the door track. The cap I am referring to is the nylon plastic piece at the far right corner of the track, shown in the photo you provided; the 21-114 Bifold Door Pin Cap.

If your other hardware, especially the pin are still in good working condition, you may just need to replace that piece.

Additional images. The pivot pin and related parts are needed.

During the initial call I did not have the pin on hand only the picture, because this is a rental unit.  After confirming with the tenant, I was able to pull the pin today and have attached the following pictures for consideration.  Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ren,

The pin you have here is the 21-055 Bifold Door Guide Pin. Take a look at the diagram below to confirm.

The small clip is the 21-158 Cotter Pin. Be sure sure to take a look over the other related items tagged below to see if you might need any of them.
