These are the broken coil balance spring ends from the right side of an older vinyl double hung window. Traco, I think. Both spring ends have a 7# marking & what looks like "CMC 36, 35". The attachment bracket needs replaced as well. Can you tell me the correct replacement parts to do both sides of this window? Thank you.

Thanks for posting! I am confident we can supply you with the replacement coils you need but I'll need to see the compatible hardware to determine the best possible replacement. It would help to see the hardware removed from the window to get the best idea of what you need for your repairs. You'll also need to have it removed to confirm any measurements.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have.

I need replacement counterbalance coils for a Traco vinyl double hung window. The lower sash measures 33" high X 33 1/2" wide. I weighed the lower sash on a bathroom scale. It weighed 29.5lbs. It looks like there are 2 counterbalance springs on each side. The springs have a 7 etched into them. I would like new hardware for both sides.

Thanks for the photos. Although, the photos provided shoe the hardware still installed in the window. For me to properly identify the replacements, I'll need to see photos of the hardware removed, as requested.

The measurement of the opening in the window cannot help to determine the replacement parts you need, unfortunately. Once I've had the chance to identify them, you'll need to compare the dimensions to confirm that the recommendations would be a fit. You'll need to have them removed to do so.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I removed the broken coil balancers. I'm thinking I need 2 - 7 pound coils for each side. Also, like to have a new attachment device for the hole in the end of the coil. Thanks.

Thanks for the photos. Your coil housing can be replaced with our 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot along with the 15-086 Tandem Coil Housing, which is used for the top coil. To confirm that these are the correct replacements, be sure to double check the dimensions below.

Detail of 15-087
Detail of 15-087

Since you have a 29.5lb sash, I would suggest using (1) 7lb coil and (1) 8lb coil, for each side. In total, you would need (2) S180-07 and (2) S180-08.

The mounting bracket can be replaced with the 16-024 Mounting Bracket.
