Coil Spring

Home Owner from Carpentersville, IL
I have a few windows with broken coil springs. The windows do not go up or down. On at least 1 window the metal peg that stick out from the window and attaches to the window frame is also broken. There also some windows with broken plastic pieces that holds the window when you want to tilt it inside the house. There is no draft or broken frame, so I don't want to spend a lot of money to replace them. What can I do to fix the existing window. The pictures are from a window that works perfectly.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Starting with the tilt latch, take a look at the specifications for the 26-243 and 26-244 to see if they match what you need.

We're happy to help with the pivot bar but we have to see it removed from the sash to get a better look at it.

The pivot shoe appears to be the 15-199 which uses the 1/2" S160 and 3/8" S165 coil springs. I'd guess that the spring tongue is 3/8" wide but we recommend you confirm. You will also need to check for stamped weight codes on the coil springs.
