Coil balance

Question

Hi there, my windows do not stay open. I believe this is the part that has failed. If you could identify this that would be great thanks.

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! Your window balance assembly can be replaced with the 15-180 Coil Balance Shoe, which use the Series 190 Coil Spring. You'll need the 33-073 screw to attach the coils to the shoe.

I am unable to tell what the stamps on your coils are, so you'll need to examine them both to determine what you need to complete the assembly. Take a look at our video tutorial tagged below for reference.

The 15-181 Double Support Detent Clip used along with the 15-182 Balance Bushing are used to anchor the coils in the window track. You can use the 26-040 to replace the pivot bar.
