My existing 1/2" Coil Single Support was a style that had a spindle on it. Then the spindle would go on the axle that axle is what gets fastened to the frame. I'm unable to force the spindle into the new coil balance. It was very difficult to remove it from the old broken coil balance. Is there a risk to not using the spindle? Should I purchase what you offer for the 1/2" Coil Single Support. Is it easy to get the new coil balance (that I recently purchased from you I purchased the 5.5lb coil balances S160-05) onto the 1/2" Coil Single Support?
Is it easy to fit a 5.5lb coil balance onto the 1/2" Coil Support? If so, I will order it. I've already be able to install the new PIvot Shoe's 15-199 but I'm using my existing coil supports. I'm thinking it may be better to go with the new coil supports otherwise in the future my existing coil support will probably fail since I'm not using the spindle.
What are your thoughts on this:
Is it easy to fit the 5.5lb coil balance (item#S160-05) onto the 1/2" Coil Support (item#15-150S)? If it is I'll probably just order 4 of those and install them.
I've been able to get everything back together and the windows are operational.
I'm thinking for durability sake I'll probably just purchase 4 of those supports from your company. I should be able to make it work with those. I've learned about my windows over the last week!
The axel of the old support had what I'm calling a spindle on it.
My current installation just has the axel holding the coil balance which probably isn't the best configuration.
Here are a couple of pictures of what I was referring to:
