Coil balance kit

Home Owner from Emerson, NJ
I would like to replace both sides of my entire window hardware. Window will not stay open. I uploaded pictures of what I currently have and want to replace. Notice the right side has two coils on the bottom. One has broken  away from the piece. The space for the coils  are approximately 1 1/2 inches wide and the vertical plastic piece is approximately 1 3/4 inches.

Hello, thank you for posting,

To further review, we will need to see the window sash removed where we can view the style of the pivot shoe that the coil springs attached to.

Please also provide the thickness of the coil springs. They should either measure a 1/2" or 3/8". Do you see any numbers stamped on the coils? If there are no markings, we will need the weight of the window sash as well. The removed sash would need to be placed on a bathroom scale.

I have related a generic video on the page for assistance. With these details we can move forward with determining the correct series for replacement. Thank you!

I do not see any numbers on the coils. The window sash weighs 10 pounds. I think the width of the coil is 1/2". I took a picture with the measuring tape. Please see if I measured correctly. Again, I want to replace both entire sides with new parts. I hope this and the three pictures help you determine what I exactly need. Thank you, Noel

Hi, as I was trying to reinstall the window I bent the part that goes into the shoe. Can you please also send both sides of this piece. I uploaded two more photos of what I am talking about. Noel

Thank you,

It appears that your window uses the 15-111 pivot shoe. Please compare the dimensions below to confirm a good fit!

For a 1/2" spring, you can use the Series 160. For a 10 pound sash, you will need (1) S160-05 coil spring on each side along with the 15-150S single support.

For the pivot bar, please start by reviewing the 26-083 or 26-040. Compare the backset of the installation hole to see how they compare to your original. If neither line up, please provide the backset dimension from the center of the installation hole to move forward. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
