Coil balance parts

Thanks for writing in. This is an older style coil spring that is no longer made. We should be able to substitute it with a more modern style; but to know what kind of coil spring you need, it would be best to see your window's pivot shoe out of the window. The style of the pivot shoe will confirm the identity of the coil springs needed. Many thanks.

Thanks for getting back to me. OK, this is what I expected: your pivot shoe is our 15-177. This is compatible with our Series 152 Coil Springs, which you screw on to the pivot shoe using a screw like our 33-072. The stamp 'E' stamp is equivalent to 5, so see our S152-5, which is meant to support 5 lbs of weight apiece. Let us know if you have any other questions.
