Coil balance pivot shoes

Question

I need a closed cam shoe for a tilt window that accommodates a similar T-shaped pivot bar.  Can you identify this?  Thanks.  -Christopher

Hello there. It appears you are trying to replace a Simonton Coil Balance system with the Certainteed 15-192. While these parts look very similar, we have found they are not interchangeable due to the 'alignment' nubs on the surface of the 15-192. Some customers find rubbing those nubs down fixes the problem; however it doesn't in every case, and in any event the 15-192 does not always work with the same pivot bars the Simonton shoe does.

With all these issues in mind, we've devised a substitute solution. You can use the 15-259 to replace the old shoe. however this means you'll also need to replace the coil springs in the window with the Series 159 Coil Balances.
