Coil balance replacement

Question

Looking to replace a pair of coil balances in a double hung, tilting window but not sure which one. Old one is 4" long, 1 ¼" wide, and ½" deep. It's a double coil with a 6 on top and 5 on the bottom. If any more info is needed, let me know. Thank you!

Thanks for writing in! Your coil balance housing looks similar to our 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot. The part attached to the top is the 15-086 Tandem Coil Housing.

Carefully review and compare the dimensions to those shown below to determine if this is the correct replacement. I am confident these are the replacement you'll need.

The coil housing pivot is compatible with the Series 180 coil balance spring. Since your housing pivot and tandem housing are stamped with a 5 and a 6, you'll need the S180-5 and S180-6 coil balance springs. You may also need the 16-024 Mounting Bracket.
