Coils Stamped With Letters

Question

Our windows have dual coil balance on each side and on both sides the top coil is broken. The pivot shoe looks to be the same as the 15-177. On the left side the top coil is stamped D L and the bottom coil stamped D. On the right side, the top coil is also stamped D L but the bottom coil is stamped C. Can you please help to identify the correct coil balances that I need?

Thank you for your patience during our busy season. This looks like our 15-177 pivot shoe, which uses the Series 152 coil springs, but compare our dimensions to yours to confirm this matches what you need.

To determine the appropriate coil weight, you would weigh the sash on a scale and then divide that by how many springs you have in the window. For example, if you had four springs total (two on each side) and a 12 pound sash, you would want four 3 pound springs.
