What coil can I use to replace this one? Notice it has a little piece of metal that sticks out on the end

Thanks for contacting SWISCO. I think we can help you replace your coil springs; but first, could you show us the pivot shoe that they attach to? If you could take a picture of the shoe removed from the window and provide the width and thickness, that would be most helpful. The type of pivot shoe determines the coil spring you need. Thanks.

Hello Bob attached hope u find pics of pivot shoe. Tried sending shoes and balances pics earlier but it didn't go thru. Hope can identify this cf bal. ps I need 9 lb balances. Thank you. Renzo. Mrscreenman Windows and More

Thanks for getting back to us with some detailed photos. I notice that you have the old Series 140 Quick Tilt coil balance spring system that has been discontinued. We'd like for you to get back in touch with us with the weight of the sash, or spring weight numbers that may be stamped on the old springs or housings.

Balances are 9lbs. I need 1 set. If there is a different CF Bal that will require me having to change the pivot shoes that's ok also. SS long as the pivot shoe works with tfge sash lift out. The dimensions of the existing shoes are in the pics. I wouldn't think the height matters. As long as the depth and width are equal. Thanks again for your help

For your 9 lbs. springs, you will use S140-9. They come in left and right. The pivot shoe dimensions are 1-1/4" wide by 9/16" thick. I hope this helps. Let us know if you should need any further assistance.

Hello Paul. I ordered the parts. Do the balances hook in differently? I don't need tgebpivot shoes if the connection is the same

I'm not sure I understand your question. Our S140-9 balance comes with everything shown in our store's pictures, including a pivot shoe and spring cover.
