Correct length for Series 795 conversion

A quick learner from SC says:
I wanted to make sure that I have the correct length of 28 inches for the new 795 balance. From top clip to bottom of the bottom sash is 59 inches. The old balance measured at 28.25.

When converting from a rod balance to the Series 795, you always want to round down. So in your case, 28" would be my first recommendation. However your old balance usually has lengths that end in 1/2" increments, not 1/4". If you have an undamaged version then you should measure that instead to be 100% sure.
