Hi, I believe you have replacement parts for this old block and tackle balance. This is a single hung window, about 39" x 29" The metal clips at the bottom of the window are
2 1/2 " long. One has a 4 on it and one has a 5 on it.The rod unit is over all 27" long.
The black piece at the bottom of the rod is 1 1/8- or slightly under 1 1/4". I'm hoping you can help me with these parts and directions for installing them. Thank you so much.

Hi Linda, Your old-style crossbow balance is no longer available but many customers have been able to use the S795 as a replacement as long as your balance spring measures 1/2" in diameter. Take a look at the conversion video below that will walk you through the process. Thank you! |

You are correct that if your balance measures 26-1/2", you would use the S795-26 channel balance. Unfortunately, you will still need the exact sash weight to follow the chart under the balance product description and choose the corresponding strength option.
