Crank repair or replace

A quick learner from Michigan, USA says:

the crank opens the window but will not close unless you are on the outside pushing the window.

if possible please identify and let me know if it can be repaired or if i need to replace. i had previously ordered the incorrect one i would like to exchange if i need to purchase another one.
