Crank to hinge not working on casement window

Hinge is marked Entryguard Truth 31538A L

Casement window has two panels, each with their own lock and crank hinge mechanism.

Panel on left side (looking at window from outside) mechanism isn't working right. I can crank window open but cannot crank it shut. I can push it shut with my hand from outside and lock it. Crank falls out of housing on inside window sill.

I can't find a window company to do repairs and will probably have to do it myself. Please advise. Thank you for your help. I'm wondering if I just need the crank or need to replace the whole thing. Willing to do whatever needed to get it repaired.
