Hello -
I ordered the series 795 to replace my old crossbow balances. When I received the parts and tried to install, it did not fit in the channel in my window.
I notice that my old crossbow has a 5/8 inch spring, where it appears the series 795 has a 9/16 inch spring. The larger channel and spring of the series 795 will not fit in my window channel. Also, the T-shoe 15-194 is too thick to fit in my window channel. The thickness/depth of what I am inserting into the window must be less than 1/2 inch.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble. Can you confirm the size of the spring on your old balance? I actually think it's going to be 3/8", not 5/8". The red colored shoe you have here is the tell-tale giveaway on that.
Assuming that it is, can you also tell me the length you need, as well as the weight of the sash?

Sorry - I believe you are correct that the spring is 3/8. The length is 26.5 inches and the sash weighs 17.6 lbs.

Great, I thought so. Looking into this, I believe we can supply a replacement for this as a custom order. It is similar to the Series 795 but it has a much skinnier 3/8" ribbed metal channel. There is just one last piece of information I need, though, which is whether yours installs at the top using a hook or a screw. Both varieties are available for this skinny balance so we have to narrow that down.
